What people come to us for
- Difficult or violent experiences and their after-effects, at a pace that keeps you feeling safe.
- Anxiety and stress: worry, pressure and feeling on edge, with practical tools for between sessions.
- Low mood and depression.
- Illness and hospital stays: coping with a diagnosis, a long treatment or a recovery, and the worry that comes with it.
- Armed-forces life: postings, separation and pressure, for service members, trainees and Army families.
- Adolescents from 17 and young adults: exams, training, independence and finding your feet.
Therapy is usually weekly at first, in 50-minute sessions. A first session is for listening: what brought you here, what has changed, and what you hope for. From there a plan is built with you. See what happens in your first session, or read about individual therapy and adolescent and young adult therapy.
What trauma-informed means
Therapy that puts safety, choice and trust first. You decide what to talk about, and when; nothing has to be retold before you are ready. The focus is on steadiness in the present as much as on the past.
In person or online
Both are the same 50-minute session with the same clinician and the same fee. In person suits you if you would rather be in a room away from home, or if privacy at home is hard. Online suits you if travelling to Devlali is difficult, or if a posting or a move takes you elsewhere: sessions carry on by secure video from anywhere, and you can start online and come in later. Our other clinicians, including psychiatrists and clinical psychologists, also see people online from Nashik; see the team page.
