About Tanisha Shukla
Tanisha Shukla is a neuropsychologist. She holds an MSc in Neuropsychology from Christ University, Bangalore, and has completed more than 750 hours of supervised clinical practice at King George’s Medical University (KGMU), Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (RMLIMS), Balrampur Hospital and Mind and Brain Hospital, some of Lucknow and Uttar Pradesh’s best-known institutions.
Neuropsychology sits between psychology and the brain: it asks how memory, attention, planning and mood are working, and what would help when they are not. Tanisha Shukla uses standardised neuropsychological assessment to answer that, and therapy to help people live well with what she finds.
She presented her Master’s dissertation at IIT Mandi, on the cognitive and metacognitive underpinnings of religiosity and decision-making, which shapes a careful, research-informed way of working. In 2026 she presented her research on neuropsychological therapy methods and self-stigma at the Neuro and Biofeedback Society International Conference, Patna, and the Together Against Stigma Conference at AIIMS Delhi.
“Mental health support should meet you where you are, not where you think you should be.”

How she works
Together, Tanisha Shukla makes the complex feel manageable, at your own pace. A first session is for listening: what you or your family have noticed, what has changed, and what you hope for.
- Understanding first. Where an assessment would help, she uses standardised tests and explains the results in plain language, in a written report.
- Your pace. Support that meets you where you are, with no pressure to be further along than you are.
- Families included. For older adults and for younger people, with your consent, the people who support you are part of the plan.
- Online or in person. Secure video from anywhere, or in person at Dr Harshita Ultrasound Clinic, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow: every day 11 am to 7 pm, except Thursday.
- One plan with your team. If you also see another clinician at Rooh Mind Care, she coordinates with them, with your consent.
